Canacona is situated on the south of Goa. It is quite a nice place to enjoy the natural scenic beauty in Goa. Canacona is located on the taluka of South Goa district. Canacona is closely camouflaged between the skyward hills of the Sahaydri range and the deep blue waters of the Arabian Sea. Canacona is rich in greenery and picturesque beaches but it was not gained momentum of tourism culture till 1990.

Catigo Wildlife Sanctuary is among the major tourist attraction of Canacona. Catigo Wildlife Sanctuary is located 10 km southeast of Chaudi. It was established in 1969 and renowned as the second largest wildlife reserve in Goa. Shree Mallikarjun Temple was built in 16th century dedicated to Mallikarjun. It is situated at Canacona. Canacona has gained momentum of tourists from the nearby located Palolem and Agonda Beach.
