Arambol (or Hermal) Beach
Arambol was where the one-time hippies escaped when they
found the beaches of Bardez getting too crowded or
commercialised for their liking. It has colourful shops and
eateries. A long walk past black rocks and a narrow
beachside road takes you to a quieter beach known for its
sweet-water lake, close to the coast. Mud-baths are
sometimes offered here, and don't be surprised by balloons
or paragliders flying high overhead. Public transport is
scarce in these parts and visitors would need their own
vehicles. Further north is the less-noticed Keri Beach.
